Raising children can be joyful, stressful, wonderful and trying.

It can also be an isolating experience. That is why ten years ago Laura Howard and other Santa Cruz County mothers began the Santa Cruz Mothers Club. The objective was to provide friendship, socialization and support for caregivers and their children. Needless to say, Laura and that first group of mothers succeeded in their vision. Our legacy continues to flourish in Santa Cruz and neighboring counties.

The Santa Cruz Mothers club is for Santa Cruz County mothers or other primary caregivers of children from newborn to kindergarten age. SCMC offers a variety of playgroups throughout Santa Cruz county. SCMC also offers parental educational resources through our Parent Information Nights, Mothers Night Out, and opportunities throughout the year where other family members can participate with the primary caregiver and younger siblings. SCMC is a service-oriented group. We encourage every member to participate, volunteer, and share ideas. Together we will build the future for our children in Santa Cruz and surrounding communities. Let's make a difference an have fun doing it!
